Royal Caribbean is the second largest cruise line in the world and along with its sister cruise lines Royal Caribbean has a share of around 25% of the worlds cruise market.
The cruise lines owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd are Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur Cruises (Spanish), Azamara Club Cruises and CDF Croisieres de France (French). They also have a 50% stake in the German based cruise line TUI Cruises.
There are six classes of ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet; the latest is the Oasis class with two ships (as of the end of 2010). Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, both in this class are by far the largest cruise ships in the world.
The other classes are the Freedom class, the Voyager class, the Radiance class, the Vision class and Sovereign class. The vision class at around 70,000 tons are the smallest ships in the fleet.
All the Royal Caribbean ships are named something or other of the seas and almost every class has been the largest cruise ship in the world when first built.
